Update: Baby Ezekiel in Intensive Care
Baby Ezekiel Aaron Cleo, aged four months, is currently receiving specialized care in New Delhi following a thorough medical evaluation.
The infant, who has Down syndrome (Trisomy 21), is also suffering from a severe congenital heart defect known as Complete AV Canal Defect, causing signs of heart failure, breathing difficulties, and high pressure in the lungs.
Before any surgical intervention, a 7 to 10-day medical stabilization period is required to manage heart failure, improve breathing, and closely monitor the baby’s overall condition.
A high-risk corrective heart surgery is then planned, once the medical team determines that the baby is stable enough.
