Urgent Appeal: At 35, Irshad Is Fighting Stage 4 Cancer to Return Home Alive
In a hospital room in Mumbai, Mohamad Irshad Aukloo looks at the photos of his two children on his phone.
One is two years old.
The other is barely one year old.
He zooms in on their faces, as if trying to shorten the distance between them.
At 35 years old, this father is not only fighting a medical battle.
He is fighting to return home alive.
Until August 2025, Irshad was leading an active life in Castel Phoenix.
An entrepreneur in the field of MEP Engineering for more than ten years, he worked independently—handling plumbing, electrical installations, and technical maintenance with dedication, gradually building a future for his family.
Then his body began sending worrying signals.
Persistent fatigue.
Recurring fever.
Loss of appetite.
Abdominal pain.
At first, he took medication to reduce the fever, thinking it was only a temporary infection.
But the weakness continued.
Within just a few months, he lost nearly 30 kilograms.
At 1.95 meters tall, he had once weighed 115 kg.
His body began wasting away before his eyes.
Medical tests followed one after another.
So did the bills.
The first suspicion emerged:
Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma (PTCL)
a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer.
A biopsy carried out at Victoria Hospital, Candos, confirmed the disease.
At first, he was told it was Stage 1.
The family held on to that hope.
But the story did not end there.
In December 2025, with the intervention of OMCA Group, Irshad was transferred to India for specialized treatment at HCG Cancer Hospital, Mumbai.
On 17 December, he arrived accompanied by his wife, Fatimah.
New tests were carried out.
More advanced.
More precise.
Then came the devastating verdict:
Stage 4 cancer.
The shock was immense.
But the medical team immediately established a clear treatment protocol:
- intensive chemotherapy
- followed by an autologous bone marrow transplant (BMT)
A heavy and demanding treatment, but essential in order to control the disease.
The expected stay is estimated at six to seven months, due to the complexity of the treatment and post-transplant follow-up.
Irshad has already completed three cycles of chemotherapy.
The side effects are present—fatigue and weakness—but some symptoms have reduced.
His appetite has started to return.
The fever no longer comes like before.
For him, this gives hope.
Today, he can stand.
He can walk.
For him, these simple movements are already victories.
But the battle is far from over.
The bone marrow transplant is now a crucial stage, both medically and financially.
The cost of treatment and the prolonged stay in India far exceed what the family can afford.
Behind this patient is a father.
A husband.
A man who refuses to give up.
OMCA Foundation is making an urgent appeal for solidarity to help Irshad continue his life-saving treatment protocol through transplant and post-transplant care.
Every contribution represents another chance for this young father to return to Mauritius and watch his two children grow up.
Irshad is eligible for Zakaat.
Estimated cost of treatment: MUR 3,618,000
