Road accident: a father loses everything at just 35 years old
On a road he knew by heart, everything stops brutally.
On that day, 35-year-old Bhovinash Ropon rides his motorbike, accompanied by his companion. An ordinary course. A ride like no other. Until that moment when a car coming in the opposite direction loses control.
The impact is massive.
Projected on the asphalt, he’s trying to get back up. But her body doesn’t follow. His left foot is seriously messed up. The bone is exposed. The pain is immediate. Unforgettable.
In a matter of seconds a life turns upside down.
Before this accident, Bhovinash lived a simple but dignified life. Mason by profession, he worked every day to provide for his family. 13 years old girl. 9 years old boy. A companion who shared her daily life.
A life built on the strength of arms.
Today he can no longer work.
Emergencyly transported to SSRN hospital, he undergoes a first intervention. Metal plates are placed to stabilize the fracture. hope is still there. The one to walk again. Resuming the normal course of his life.
But the weeks go by… and the complications set in.
The wound is getting infected.
The pains persist.
The healing does not come.
Implants are finally removed. But instead of getting better, the situation is getting worse. The diagnosis is getting heavier: non-union of the tibia and the peronea, complicated by osteomyelitis, a deep bone infection.
Today Bhovinash is moving with crutches. Every movement is a test. Everyday is marked with pain.
Physiotherapy sessions had to be stopped. Regular care is becoming difficult to maintain. Even commuting to the dispensary has become a luxury.
At home, his partner is taking over. She heals the wound, with the means of the edge.
The couple has been jobless since the accident.
The only household income remains a social help of a few thousand rupees per month. A generous amount for daily needs, medicines, care.
