Accident 6 years ago… today, he can no longer walk alone: the fight of Jeetun Aboo Mohamad
There are accidents you never really get out of.
For Aboo, now 69 years old, everything turned upside down six years ago, after a serious motorcycle accident. That day, it wasn’t just a fall he fell… but the beginning of a slow decline.
Her body has never been balanced since.
Over the years, the complications set in. First the pain. Then the weakness. And gradually the loss of mobility
Today, walking has become an effort. Moving alone, impossible.
Every step requires a presence, a hand to support it, a glance to watch over. Without assistance, the risk of falling is constant.
Behind this reality, there is a man who once led a normal life. A father. A husband. A pillar of the family.
Today the tables have turned.
At home, it is now his loved ones who are watching over him. His wife, present at every moment, accompanies him in the simplest gestures of everyday life.
His children, themselves, organize themselves to ensure a constant presence, between physical support and moral comfort.
Because beyond the illness, there is a whole family living with this ordeal.
“He can’t walk it… “Touletan bizin en dimounn pou support li,” trusts a relative.
But despite the years, despite the fatigue, despite the difficulties, they continue.
Relentlessly.
Today the diagnosis is clear: a severe degenerative spine disease on several levels, which compresses nerves and severely limits mobility.
Facing this situation, there is a solution.
Specialized care including major spinal surgery (4 Level TLIF) and cervical decompression could allow him to relieve pressure on nerves and improve his mobility.
A real hope. But hope that has a cost.
It was in this context that the family turned to the OMCA Foundation, hoping to access this treatment and give Aboo a chance to regain some independence.
Because behind this patient, there is a man who asks only one thing: The power to stand up… and walk without depending on others.
Aboo est eligible a la Zakaat.
