Surgical success for Tanweer: The tumor was able to be successfully removed while preserving the functionality of the limb
Ms. Deenmahomed Tanweer has successfully undergone conservative limb surgery at HCG Cancer Centre in Mumbai.
The procedure was performed under very satisfactory conditions, with a complete excretion of the tumor touching both bone and soft tissue, while preserving bone continuity and limb function.
A particularly positive step in this operation is that the major neurovascular structures were successfully preserved, and the patient currently exhibits good post-operative sensory-motor function.
Blood loss during surgery remained minimal, and no implants or plaques were required thanks to maintaining bone continuity. The reconstruction of the soft tissue was also successful.
Post-operative progress is currently encouraging, with a surgical outcome considered very positive, including the complete ablation of the tumor while preserving the limb and its functionality.
Tanweer is now under close supervision by OMCA Overseas Medical Care Assistance Ltd for healing, physiotherapy, biopsy analysis and continued oncology care.
